Types of appliqués on textiles
There are several types of appliqués, which differ according to the method of application, materials and appearance. Each type is suitable for different purposes and products. Here are the main types of patches we offer:
Iron-on patches
This type of applique is ideal for quick application on textiles. The patches have a special adhesive layer on the back which is activated by ironing. Iron-on patches are popular for home use, school wear or corporate wear.
Sew-on patches
This type of appliqué is attached to textiles by sewing. It is a very durable method of application that is used for products that must withstand long-term use. Sew-on patches are often chosen for workwear, uniforms or sportswear.
Velcro patches

How to apply the iron-on applique correctly?
Prepare textiles
Make sure that the surface to which you will attach the iron-on applique is clean and dry. You can gently iron it before applying to get rid of any creases or dirt.
Place the applique on the textile
Place the applique in the desired location on the textile. Make sure it is aligned correctly.
Cover the applique with fabric
Place a thin cloth or baking paper over the applique. This will protect the applique and the fabric from direct contact with the iron and prevent damage.
Set the iron
Set the iron to a medium to high temperature (no steam). The temperature should be high enough for the applique to stick well, but you should also be careful not to damage the fabric.
Ironing
Hold the iron in place (do not move it back and forth) for 10-15 seconds. Then gently lift the iron and check that the applique is firmly attached.
Cooling
Allow the fabric to cool so that the applique adheres well to the material. Once cooled, you can gently re-iron the fabric if necessary to ensure a permanent fit.
Check
If the patch is not sufficiently attached, repeat the process again. Check that all the edges of the patch hold firmly.
This will ensure that your iron-on applique will hold firmly and for a long time.
How big can the patches be?
Small patches:
Size: from 2x2 cm to 5x5 cm
Medium patches:
Size: from 5x5 cm to 10x10 cm
Big patches:
Size: from 10x10 cm to 30x30 cm or larger
Extra large patches
Many customers request patches larger than 30 cm , which is possible but more difficult to produce and apply.
